Cañada Real

La Cañada Real Galiana is a livestock route that runs between La Rioja and Ciudad Real (Spain). The section that runs south of the city of Madrid has been occupied for the construction of irregular buildings since the 1960s and certain areas have become hotbeds of social marginalization, drug trafficking, unsanitary conditions, and lack of services and supplies.
